Oshn Designs is a growing, values-driven construction company specializing in custom homes, ADU’s, and Tiny Homes. We are looking for a skilled lead carpenter/ builder who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to be part of a supportive, small, and positive team!

Lead Carpenter/Builder

Full-time

About the role:

You will take plans and directions and lead the day-to-day construction on site. You’ll help guide the other crew members, keep projects moving efficiently, and ensure work is completed to a high standard of quality. This is a hands-on work lead position. You will be building with the crew.

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years of hands-on construction experience

  • Broad construction skill sets: framing, exterior and interior finish preferred

  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Respectful, reliable, and team-oriented

  • Have a cell phone so we can contact you and ability to use builder specific software

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

  • Can foster a safe work environment while continuing to be efficient

  • Ability to lift 75lbs and work in varying weather conditions

Tasks:

  • Lead residential construction projects including new homes, tiny homes, and ADU’s.

  • Read and interpret plans, and execute builds

  • Perform framing, siding, interior-finish work, and general carpentry

  • Direct and support 1-3 crew members on site

  • Coordinate with owners on daily priorities and problem solving

  • Help with some materials ordering and site organization

  • On-site interaction with clients and sub-contractors, but not responsible for them or for scheduling.

  • May work in Whatcom/Skagit/Okanogan County

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful job site

  • Represent Oshn Designs professionally when interacting with clients, subcontractors, and neighbors

Compensation and Benefits

  • $ 35-45 per hour DOE

  • Company truck and major tools provided
